Our goal in creating Ruby Pro Software is simple: give beverage alcohol and THC beverage distributors, suppliers, and brokerage firms one software platform to run their entire business. Wine, spirits, beer, cider, RTDs, and THC lines all belong in it — the category changes the taxes and the deal sheet, not the system.

Why we exist

Too many industry players run their business on QuickBooks and manage their pricing in Excel or Google Sheets. Fine tools — but none of them were built for the three-tier system, and they do not come close to meeting the needs of this industry. Pricing by deal level, excise taxes, depletions, billbacks, compliance — that's the business, and generic software can't keep up.

Ruby Pro is built for beverage alcohol and THC: one system, one dashboard, for the whole operation. For suppliers and importers, Ruby Price Management and Ruby CRM make up the Ruby GTM Platform. For distributors, and for brands ready to run the whole operation, there is Ruby Pro ERP.

  • Your data is yours. We do not share it or use it in any way.

Who we are

Ruby Pro Software is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was founded by Tom Harris, its president. Tom spent about 15 years at SAP before building Ruby Pro, and he still builds the product and sets up every customer himself. When you call, you get him.

We serve beverage alcohol and THC distributors, importers, suppliers, and broker groups across the United States. Not to be confused with the Ruby programming language, Ruby Wines, or anyone else named Ruby.

What it is built on

Rather than build an ERP from scratch, we took an open-source ERP platform that supports thousands of companies worldwide and customized it for the beverage alcohol and THC trade. Our customizations layer on top of the platform and never touch its source code, so we upgrade the underlying system about twice a month without breaking what we built for you.

If you have a good idea, we build it into the product at no additional cost, on the belief that another customer will want it too. And when something is not built yet, we say so. More in the FAQ →
