Ruby Pro vs PYLR
PYLR and Ruby Pro are aimed at exactly the same buyer: the independent or mid-size distributor or importer who has outgrown spreadsheets and cannot justify enterprise ERP pricing or a year-long implementation. On the distributor side the products are genuinely close. They diverge on three things worth checking before you take either demo.
PYLR states plainly that pricing is a conversation, not a rate card. That may work out fine for you. It also means you cannot compare before you talk to a salesperson. Every Ruby price is public: ERP $750 per month plus $90 per user, CRM $75 per user, Price Management $25 per state, Broker Platform $50 per broker.
PYLR's full accounting is priced separately from the core platform, and it will sync to QuickBooks if you want to keep it. Ruby Pro ERP's accounting is integrated and multi-currency, inside the base price, and is a full QuickBooks replacement. Two reasonable designs, but the second invoice is easy to miss when you are comparing.
This one can go against us. PYLR includes unlimited users with no per-seat fees. We charge $90 per user on the ERP. If you have a large rep force all needing access, run the arithmetic. Where we usually come out lower is a small back office on ERP seats with the field on CRM seats instead.
PYLR describes itself as built for the wholesale distribution side only. If you are a supplier or importer setting FOB prices into distributors state by state, Ruby Price Management models real margin after excise tax, freight, laid-in cost, depletion allowances, and every deal level, for $25 per state per month, alongside any accounting system.
PYLR reports depletions to suppliers, which is the distributor's side of the exchange. Ruby runs the supplier's side as well: because pricing lives in a database, a supplier can audit every depletion allowance billback a distributor sends against the deal that was actually approved. That is where the money usually leaks.
PYLR does not serve broker groups. The Ruby Broker Platform does, at $50 per broker per month. And Ruby CRM puts 350,000+ active alcohol licenses on a map with target lists, chain and national account tracking, and rep goals for visits, cases, placements, and display wins.

PYLR details above are taken from their own public website as of October 2026. They do not publish a price, so we have not guessed at one. If anything here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
If you have a large field team and want every one of them in the system without counting seats, PYLR's unlimited-user subscription is a genuine advantage over our per-user pricing. If you want to keep QuickBooks and sync to it rather than replace it, that is their default and our alternative. And if a mobile-first rep experience with an AI copilot is what will actually get your reps to use the thing, that is a reasonable reason to choose them.
What we would weigh against it: you cannot see the price before you call, accounting is a separate line item, and PYLR covers the distribution side only. If you also sell into distributors as a supplier, or run a broker group, that half of your business stays on spreadsheets.
A vintage substitution on receiving. A freight invoice that showed up six weeks late. A billback from a distributor that does not match the deal you approved. We will show you how Ruby handles it, in about 30 minutes.
